Adam is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in private and public practice. He is committed to providing the best possible care and believes that in order to do so each woman must be treated as an individual. To achieve this Adam draws on his ability to listen to a woman’s expectations and communicate with her the best options based on his extensive evidence based knowledge and experience.
Adam graduated from the University of Sydney’s Graduate Medical Program and completed his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he was the both the Senior Registrar and Pelvic Surgery Fellow. During his training Adam also completed a MBA in Health Management focusing on improving the delivery of high quality evidence based healthcare for women. After finishing his training in Australia, Adam took his passion for obstetrics to Europe working at the world-renowned National Maternity Hospital in Dublin as their Labour Ward Research Fellow.
Adam jointly runs several high risk obstetric clinics as well as sessions as the consultant responsible for the delivery ward at a major Sydney teaching hospital. His high-risk obstetric interests include women requiring assessment in early pregnancy, women with diabetes and pregnant women who have previously had caesarean sections (VBAC) or other surgery that may affect their pregnancy. He practices private obstetrics within the Marren Campbell & Mackie group obstetric practice.
Adam provides advice and management including surgical management for all general gynaecological problems in particular the investigation and management of abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain and contraception.
Adam is committed to teaching medical students and junior doctors through his role as a clinical tutor and mentor. He is currently participating in a range of research and audit activities designed to improve the care and outcomes for a broader group of women beyond those women he directly cares for. Recent research has focused on reducing caesarean rates and improving intrapartum care and experiences for pregnant women He has numerous presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals.
Adam is a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the Canterbury Hospital. He practices Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney, and North Shore Private Hospital, St Leonards. Adam consults at suite 3.03 / 205 Pacific Highway St Leonards.
